Launched in 1999, the NSGP Foundation is the champion of group psychotherapy. The Foundation provides scholarships for clinicians seeking to apply group work to their practices; training for group therapists; forums on trends, research and applications of group therapy; and public education.

Our Relationship with the NSGP
The NSGP Foundation was formed in 1999 by Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy (NSGP) members to be the philanthropic arm of the NSGP. The NSGP Foundation is now a free-standing 501c(3) public charity that supports the work of the NSGP and of group psychotherapy in general.
About the NSGP
NSGPF Partners
On occasion the Foundation will partner with a philanthropic organization whose work places emphasis on group psychotherapy as a means for prevention and healing.
The Rice Memorial Fund
The Rice Memorial Fund, established in memory of Catherine Rice and her sons, Benjamin and Ryan, promotes the study of violence among groups, families and individuals and is dedicated to reducing its occurrence. The Fund uses group theory, research and therapy as a framework for achieving these ends.
